Beetroot, the autumn favorite

Beetroot is one of the most popular ingredients of the fall/winter season - it's easily accessible, yet it's more than just a simple vegetable. It is well known to health-conscious eaters that beetroot is extremely rich in Vitamin C, B6, Folic Acid, Magnesium and Iron, and in low calories. It can help the body prepare for changing and increasingly cool weather while lowering blood pressure and it also has beneficial effects on digestion and physical performance. It's also popular because of its great taste - the purple colored version is the type that is widely known, although it also exists in yellow and white, providing an excellent base and serving decoration not only for chefs but also for cooking enthusiasts.

Our chef Norbert Krasznai and Zsanett Barna, the pastry chef is also keen on using this ingredient - Norbert's appetizer is rich in beetroot, and its sweetness is beautifully complemented with the sour taste of the creamy goat cheese.

Zsanett Barna created a heavenly dessert from beetroot. In her sorbet, beetroot has several roles; on one hand, it comes in a marinated form and on the other, a sorbet was also made from it. All topped with blackberries, crunchy caraway seeds, dark chocolate and tonka beans - resulting in a truly unforgettable taste. This dessert shows that beetroot is a really versatile ingredient that can be used in almost any dish. Our team loves to re-think the use of a well know ingredient and put their creativity to work in order to create something new and exciting. New winter signatures

Signature cocktails are like liquid identities of a bar – sometimes based on a well-known classic, but always contains a little twist. Learn more about our new, winter signatures!

Our signatures were usually created along classic rules, but this time we put a stronger emphasis on seasonal flavors and unusual combinations. Tea is a typical winter drink, so we decided to use it in some of the cocktails, but bacon jam and salt also appears in the new lineup. We would like to highlight "Papillon"- it's special this season because this is the cocktail that got our bartender, Máté Tüdős into the Bacardí Legacy Cocktail Competition's Hungarian finals. It's a fusion of Bacardí 8, Tonka beans, Osborne PX, Cinnamon, and egg white. If you're in Société Bar, don't miss this one!

Our new menu reflects the season’s colors and flavors

As the colors change around us and the greens are replaced by the yellowish-red tones, so does the palette of food served in restaurants and the repertoire of drinks that accompany them.

Our team at Société Bistro & Bar is also ready for the season. In addition to listing the classic autumn flavors, we bring more passion to the dishes with exciting ingredients.
For meat lovers, we introduce our new hare spine in crunchy panko breadcrumbs accompanied by a superfood, cauliflower. It's topped with cauliflower cream and grated purple cauliflower and a coconut chips finish.

A new appetizer, red tuna has a bit of an Eastern influence with the homemade wasabi mayonnaise, chili-ginger soy sauce and coriander, which promises a real taste explosion.

And now let's crown the meal with a dessert: the new sorbet dessert has beetroot in many forms: marinated and cooled, topped with blackberries, crunchy caraway seeds, dark chocolate and tonka beans. It's a heavenly end note of the lunch or dinner - come and try it at Société Bistro & Bar!
